Widebody kit gives the C8 a race car look for the road.
The Chevrolet Corvette is the darling of the US sports car world, and the C8 is the best-looking Vette of the 21st century. This mid-engine beast has been around for a couple of years now, and naturally, people have started modifying them. While tuners have struggled to unlock its ECU, others have simply stuck to styling, and we've seen some good, bad, and absolutely disgusting body kits come out for this car. This full-carbon kit from Anderson Composites is one of the better ones we've seen. In fact, we think it's drop-dead gorgeous, and it's all real; there's no plastic or fiberglass here pals.
The kit has been specifically designed to fit 2020-2021 Corvette C8 Coupe cars, and takes its inspiration from the Corvette C8.R grand touring race car and widens the C8 Corvette by one and a half inches in the front, and nearly two inches in the rear. The Wide Track package, as Anderson Composites likes to call it, consists of a carbon-fiber front bumper with front splitter & canards, a rear bumper with rear diffuser, vented front fenders, quarter panels, a carbon fuel door, and door opening/rocker panels with splitters. The package excludes some other cool-looking parts such as a carbon-fiber hood, roof panels, doors, and a carbon rear wing.
The car shown here is packed with the full Anderson Composites catalog, and features a set of tasty ADV.1 ADV005 Flowspec Series sized 20×10.5 at the front and 21×10.5 at the rear. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires offer plenty of grip. This kit requires one to remove the fenders, quarter panels, doors, both bumpers and the diffuser, and we'd recommend getting an expert to install it, especially when you consider that it costs a stiff $19,999. With so many cheap fiberglass kits going around these days, we think it's worth the extra money, and dudes who like carbon will come up to you at car shows and say stuff like "love all the carbon bro".
