There are countless SUVs on the American market right now, but when it comes to ultra-luxury mid-size plug-in hybrid SUVs, the 2022 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid is in a class with few rivals. Starting at around $160,000, the Bentayga Hybrid positions itself at a price point in line with the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid and Land Rover Range Rover Hybrid, sharing a platform with the former, too. With its 443-horsepower combination of turbocharged V6 engine and electric motor, its performance is stout, but not overwhelming in a sensory fashion. But while focusing on luxury, it shares bones with some prolific performance SUVs, including the aforementioned Porsche, the Lamborghini Urus, and the Audi RS Q8, meaning it's a capable athlete when called upon, while its 31 miles of electric range enable it to be a comfortable, quiet commuter, too. Few ultra-luxury SUVs focus on blending comfort, luxury, and eco-consciousness as well as the Bentayga Hybrid does.
Bentley gave the Bentayga Hybrid a significant facelift for 2021 that included a refreshed exterior design and modernized interior. For that reason, the Bentayga enters the 2022 model year with no upgrades.

Premium SUVs from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, and Audi are all impressive performers and generously outfitted, but none serve up quite as much luxury as the 2022 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid. With its 443-hp electrified powertrain, it delivers strong performance all-round, from almost immediate acceleration to its hybrid efficiency. With its air suspension and continuous damping control system, it remains poised and comfortable on the road, and its cabin is superbly serene and isolated from outside noise. Bentley goes all-in on achieving a premium, first-rate cabin design - utilizing only the finest materials. Naturally, this makes the Bentayga Hybrid one of the most expensive SUVs in the USA. However, you'll have to pay even more if you want many of the advanced features you can find in much cheaper top-spec models from other brands, which is a little disappointing. If the charming aesthetics and grandiose status of the Flying B don't really mean anything to you, then you'll probably be better off in a top-spec SUV from one of the more mainstream German automakers.
As is typically the case with ultra-premium brands, Bentley is very discreet with the official price of the 2022 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid SUV. With a slight increase in price since its facelift, the Bentley Bentayga Hybrid has an MSRP of $187,600. A fully-loaded Bentayga with all of the extras and packages can easily exceed the $200,000 mark.
