My husband and I have owned our Honda Pilot for almost 4 years now. We love it! It is the best vehicle we have ever owned. The only issue we have had with it is a rattle in the driver's side door that dealerships cannot seem to fix. We are hoping that it will go away on its own since it only happens when we drive over bumps (which isn't often). I would recommend this car to anyone who needs something bigger than a sedan but doesn't want something as big as an SUV. It's comfortable, roomy, and safe. The third row is great for kids or adults and there's plenty of cargo space when you fold down the third-row seats.
The Pilot has been a great car for me. It is comfortable, roomy, and has all the bells and whistles of a luxury vehicle at a price that is far less than other comparable vehicles. I have owned two Honda Pilots over the past 12 years and have found them to be reliable, low-maintenance vehicles. The only issue we have had with our current Pilot is that it seems to use more oil than we would expect in this type of vehicle (about 1 quart every 2,500 miles). The dealership says this is normal due to the fact that it uses synthetic oil, but some people might find this excessive. Overall, I am very pleased with my Honda Pilot. The car meets all of my needs as a busy mom with three kids who also works full time outside the home (including a long commute).
This is my second Pilot. I bought the first one in 2005 and drove it until 2016. It was a great vehicle, so I decided to buy another one. The new Pilot EX-L is a very nice vehicle, but it does have some issues. First of all, there is not much leg room for the back seat passengers. Second, the rear view mirrors are so large that they block much of your view out of the rear window when you are backing up. Third, the navigation system has many problems with keeping track of where you are going and recalculating routes when necessary (this happens frequently). Fourth, there is no way to turn off or reduce the brightness of your lights while driving at night (the headlights are too bright). Fifth, there are no storage spaces inside the vehicle for things like sunglasses or maps (I had this problem with my previous Pilot as well). Sixth, there is no place to store your cell phone while driving (I had this problem with my previous Pilot as well).
