Buy Used Mercedes-Benz Models

Mercedes’ electric car roster is not extensive, with only an SUV and a van currently on offer and the latter not yet in the States. However, the automaker has published a list of upcoming models that include three more SUVs and another two sedans. Those who want a small Mercedes EV that is fit for running around town will be somewhat disappointed, as there are none available yet in the USA. The lineup at present consists of top-class vehicles that have received some of the best ratings in their respective segments, and we foresee the same from the upcoming releases. A new electric car from Mercedes undoubtedly brings luxury and admirable power outputs, but they come with comparable price tags. Still, if you’re going to spend a lot on an EV, a Merc is definitely a great choice.

2020 Mercedes EV Models

For 2020 and 2021, Mercedes-Benz has announced a lineup that comprises six different configurations. Here are some of the current and future variants:

  • EQA - As an electric alternative to the GLA-Class, this will be the smallest in the new EV lineup, which will all be constructed on the same scalable all-electric architecture. Designed to compete with the Tesla Model Y, the EQA SUV should have various motor setups and all-wheel drive.
  • EQB - One step up from the abovementioned ute in terms of size, the EQB will carry seven passengers in its three rows of seats, and most likely have slightly less horsepower on tap.
  • EQE - Two variations are to be developed on the EQE foundation, one sedan and one SUV. While no official confirmation has been given of technicalities and specifications just yet, we suspect the fully-electric sedan could make 402 hp and 561 lb-ft from dual motors. Combined with sleek aerodynamics, this should allow a 0-60 mph sprint of well under five seconds. Luxury and comfortable space for five in the cabin are a given, too. The crossover version will supply more space within the high-riding frame as the electrified counterpart to the GLE-Class. The expected dual-motor AWD system is tipped to provide more than 400 hp and is planned to have a driving range of around 400 miles, which is pretty good for a larger vehicle.
  • EQS - Built on the same foundations as the rest of the EQ family, the EQS will be offered in both a sedan and SUV configuration. The former is set to be an electric equivalent of the S-Class series of sedans, with 469 hp and 560 lb-ft and a maximum cruising range of 435 miles. The SUV variant is a bit more of a mystery, but since it bears the same nameplate there is some speculation that it may share the same motor setup.
