The upcoming all-electric Audi Q6 e-tron (a name change is still possible) will have similar exterior dimensions to the current Q5 but with the interior space of the larger Q7 thanks to a floor-mounted battery. An official debut date has not been set, though we know the Q6 e-tron will share a platform with the also upcoming Porsche Macan EV.
This new Audi SUV will join the already on sale e-tron and e-tron Sportback, though it's expected to be aimed at a more performance-focused audience, hence its shared Porsche underpinnings. Previous reports suggest the Macan Electric Turbo could produce as much as 700 hp and 750 lb-ft of torque, so it's definitely possible Audi is also planning an RS Q6 e-tron with similar numbers.
Overall styling appears to be pretty similar to other new Audis, especially the pure battery-electric models. The interior will no doubt be a technological marvel with the latest version the automaker's MMI infotainment system. Seating should be up to five passengers.
