As the world ramps up to full electrification, Audi is wasting no time in preparing a slew of new EVs with a performance bias. While the RS e-tron GT was the first RS-badged EV, Audi is in the process of developing an RS version of the forthcoming Q6 e-tron SUV. Developed for the global market, the RS Q6 e-tron will be based upon the same PPE electric vehicle architecture as the all-electric Porsche Macan. Audi will likely not pursue outright power and 0-60 mph times, so we're expecting in the region of 600-650 horsepower from a dual-motor electric powertrain, resulting in standard AWD and acceleration figures in the mid-three-second range. Audi will also be looking to utilize next-generation battery tech for enhanced range, with 300 miles the minimum viable figure. More information will become available closer to the reveal, which we expect to be in the middle of 2022 with a market launch in 2023.
