Special Edition Karma Celebrates Its California Roots

For the 2021 model year, the Karma Revero GT was rebranded as the GS-6. Whereas the Revero GT started at $144,800, the Karma GS-6 is much more affordable with an MSRP of $79,900. Later this year, Karma will expand the GS-6 range with the all-electric GSe-6, but for now, the automaker is celebrating the GS-6's initial 2021 production run with three new special-edition variants with a custom color and upgraded performance. Each model's unique design specification pays homage to the company's California roots.

The California Riviera version is finished in a one-off Riviera Blue finish with matching blue brake calipers and 22-inch forged wheels finished in Metallic Lunar Grey. Inside, the interior is trimmed in forged carbon fiber and a Ventura Grey color theme with blue and brown accents.

The LA Sun variant is finished in a one-off Hollywood White with a Pebble Beach Grey interior with brown accents and open-pore Red Elm wood trim. It rides on 22-inch forged wheels finished in Dune Twist Midnight Chrome with Burnt Orange brake calipers. Lastly, the Yosemite Grove has a one-off Yosemite Green exterior and rides on HRE S200H wheels finished in High Gloss Black with yellow brake calipers. The interior features an Imperial Dune Brown color theme with dark brown accents and open-pore lace oak wood.

All three models also include a Black Out Package for the exterior. Like the GS-6, the three-special edition models are powered by an electrified 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that charges a 28 kWh battery pack and powers the two electric motors, which generate 536 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque.

Upgrades to the motors increase the top speed to an electronically-limited 135 mph and reduces the 0-60 mph to under four seconds in the custom Karmas.

"These special edition vehicles are a great way to kick off sales for our new GS-6 lineup," says Karma's VP of Sales and Customer Experience, Joost de Vries. "Each color expresses the vibrance of the California lifestyle where they were created, and the performance modifications encourages driver interaction for a heightened sensory experience." The custom 2021 Karma GS-6 cars will be sold at select dealers, but pricing hasn't been announced.
