There are only two models that make up the Yaris hatchback lineup: the base-spec LE and the top-spec XLE. Both are powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that’s coupled to a six-speed automatic gearbox that drives outputs to the front-wheel-drivetrain of the Yaris hatchback. The two models don’t differ much at all, with the infotainment system and safety features consignment being identical in both models. The infotainment system comprises a seven-inch touchscreen display that’s tethered to an AM/FM/Satellite HD and SiriusXM radio compatible stereo with a six-speaker audio layout. Functionality in Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is standard along with Bluetooth wireless technology, voice recognition, Stitcher and Aha application connectivity. The standard safety suite includes an integrated rearview camera, cruise control, and a low-speed pre-collision system. Both are equipped with 16-inch Dark Gray split-spoke aluminum wheels, the LE features halogen projector headlights and the XLE LED headlights with DRL’s, and, while the LE is fitted with standard manual air conditioning, the XLE gets automatic climate control.
