For 2021, Hyundai carries over the five trim levels of the Veloster from the year before, namely the 2.0, followed by the 2.0 Premium, Turbo R-Spec, Turbo, and finally, the Turbo Ultimate. Powering this feisty little Korean is your choice of two engines, starting with a naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder offering 147 hp. The turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder produces 201 hp. Power is sent to the front via a six-speed manual, six-speed auto, or seven-speed DCT, trim dependent. Standard features across the range include alloy wheels, power-adjustable and manual-folding mirrors, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and driver assistance features such as lane keep assist, forward collision warning, and driver attention warning. 2.0 Premium models add leather embellishments, a sunroof, and a larger eight-inch infotainment display, while stepping up to the Turbo R-Spec sees sporty cloth seats, a six-speed manual transmission, and alloy pedals equipped. The Turbo Ultimate model adds a head-up display and pedestrian detection, with each trim in between adding various levels of spec.
