The 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is a high-value sedan with an exceptionally frugal powertrain and a good reliability record. However, it's no ball of fire as the 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine generates a mere 76 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque. Power goes to the front wheels via either a five-speed manual gearbox or a CVT transmission.

The base ES, the cheapest of the four available trims, comes with 14-inch steel wheels with covers, halogen headlights, LED taillights, automatic climate control, a four-speaker sound system, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The LE gets alloy wheels but not much more than that, while the new Black Edition has numerous exterior elements to set it apart as a sportier looker. Only the SE comes with useful extras like heated front seats and lane-departure warning.
