A 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and front-wheel-drivetrain are the standard powertrain constituents in all three Yaris Sedan models, with a six-speed manual gearbox running outputs in the base-spec L and mid-spec LE (with an available automatic transmission for both), and a six-speed automatic gearbox as standard the top-spec XLE. In terms of base-level exterior features, halogen projector-beam headlights with daytime running lights are standard. The LE is fitted with color-keyed heated power outside mirrors with LED turn signal indicators but LED automatic headlights with LED DRLs only come in on the top-spec XLE. A remote keyless access system is standard on the L, with a Smart Key system with push-button start included on both the LE and XLE. If leatherette upholstery is desired, then only the XLE will deliver, as only fabric seating upholstery is available in the L and LE. In terms of safety, all models are fitted with a low-speed pre-collision system, a rearview camera, cruise control, and a consignment of six standard airbags.
