Even for a Rolls-Royce, this looks special.
When you purchase a new Rolls-Royce, chances are you don't want your car to be the same as anyone else's. That's why the company offers a slew of bespoke options so that owners can build their own unique creations. The last bespoke Rolls-Royce, the Wraith Kryptos Collection, featured a challenging puzzle that required a cipher to solve. A bespoke 2020 Rolls-Royce Wraith was just commissioned in Abu Dhabi, and it includes some interesting homages to the Middle East and our Solar System.
The 'Wraith Inspired By Earth' was designed to represent our Solar System and planet Earth as seen from space. The exterior is finished in Royal Blue, representing that 75% of the Earth's surface is covered by water. On the hood, a piece of artwork depicts a satellite view of the Middle Eastern region, centered on the United Arab Emirates.
The hood artwork was air-brushed by hand and took over 100 hours to complete. The image depicts the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the Gulf of Oman. More subtle details include an Emerald Green coachline, which incorporates the Sun and the eight planets of the Solar System (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune). Sorry Pluto, but even Rolls-Royce knows that you aren't a planet anymore.
Inside, the Wraith focuses more on Earth and its inhabitants. The seats come wrapped in Moccasin leather, representing the sands of the UAE's deserts. The Navy and Cobalto Blue accents symbolize the rivers and lakes while the Emerald Green piping represents nature in all its forms.
Looking on the passenger-side of the dashboard, the Piano Milori veneer displays an air-brushed satellite image of the Middle East. In the rear, Rolls-Royce used Photoflash technology to craft a scene of atmospheric clouds. Of course, this Wraith features Rolls-Royce's Bespoke Starlight Headliner, which is specially laid out to depict the planets centered on the Sun.
