After owning a 2013 4Runner for about 2 years, I decided to trade it in for a 2016 Limited. The new 4Runner is a huge improvement over the older model. The interior is much more comfortable, with better seats and better materials used throughout the cabin. The exterior styling is very similar to the previous generation, but there are some subtle differences that make it look even better. The power is great and has plenty of torque to pull my boat around at highway speeds. The fuel economy isn't great but it's not bad either considering how big the vehicle is and how much power it has under the hood. If you're looking for a mid-size SUV that can haul your toys and still be comfortable enough to drive everyday then look no further than Toyota's 4Runner Limited trim.
I have owned a few vehicles in my life and I have to say that this is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. It is solid and comfortable, the ride is smooth and quiet, the handling is excellent. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who needs a truck but doesn't want one. I really like my 4Runner. This is my first SUV, so I don't have anything else to compare it to. I bought it because I wanted something with four-wheel drive that could handle snow and mud, but didn't want to pay extra for an off-road vehicle. So far it has been great in both snowy and muddy conditions without any modifications or special tires. The only thing I haven't tried yet is taking it through water deeper than about 2 feet deep (which isn't common here). There are some things about the car that aren't perfect, but overall I am very happy with it.
This is a great vehicle that is reliable and has great gas mileage. It is a fun SUV to drive, but it can also be used for more serious purposes. I have owned my 4Runner since 2009 and have put over 100k miles on it. It has been very reliable with only one major repair required (replace transmission). I maintain my vehicle regularly, but the combination of regular maintenance and good luck has kept me from needing any other major repairs. The 4Runner is also a great off-road vehicle. The suspension is stiff, which makes for a rough ride on the highway, but makes it much easier to go off-roading or down rocky trails. The all-wheel-drive system works great in snow as well as mud or sand. I live in Colorado where there are many mountains and dirt roads, so having 4-wheel-drive is a must for me. The cabin space is limited due to the high roofline and narrow windows, so if you want lots of room inside this isn't the car for you. However, if you want a small SUV that will get you through just about anything, then this is definitely the right choice!
I love my Toyota 4Runner. I have a 2014 model and I have taken it on some pretty rough trails in Colorado. It is a beast of a car and it gets me around just fine. I have not had any major problems with it, other than the tires wearing out a little faster than normal. Other than that, it has been a great car for me and I would definitely buy another one when this one wears out. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it doesn't have Bluetooth or satellite radio capabilities, but those things are easy enough to live without if you're not into them anyway.
