There has arguably never been an Aston Martin so extreme and so hotly anticipated as the Valkyrie, the intense road car that is the result of a partnership with Red Bull Racing. We were finally shown the first verification prototype at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, which means that the Valkyrie is achingly close to being production-ready.
The powertrain and performance stats are nothing short of amazing, this hypercar will feature a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 with 1,000 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque on tap. A Rimac-designed electric system will add a further 160 hp and 206 lb -ft for a total of 1,160 hp at 10,500 rpm and 663 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm. Performance claims are a 0-62 mph time of under three seconds and a top speed in excess of 200 mph. Clearly Aston Martin is not revealing everything just yet, 150 units are planned for production all of which have been sold.
A track-only AMR Pro version will also be built alongside the road car. It promises Formula One levels of performance and extreme exclusivity as only 25 will be built. The road-going Valkyrie is rumored to cost approximately $3.25 million before options and deliveries are expected to begin during the course of 2019.
