Bugatti Says Goodbye To The Chiron With Incredible Send-Off

Bugatti hasn't revealed any new models for a while now, but that's because it has been hard at work assembling and delivering its existing models; the Centodieci started heading out to customers last week after its extensive development program finally came to an end in May. At the same time, Bugatti was at the recent Top Marques event in Monaco to show off a special iteration of the Chiron, a car that has been wowing car fans for the past six years. The unique hypercar is now reaching the end of its lifecycle, and the final units of the Chiron and Chiron Sport for Europe have received some special attention in honor of the occasion with a new special edition designed to pay tribute to the founder's first-born.

Called the Bugatti Chiron L'Ebe, this special edition will see just three examples made, each paying homage to Ettore Bugatti's daughter, who was also his oldest child. One will be a regular Chiron while the other two will be based on the more focused Chiron Sport.

The special edition shows off exposed blue-tinted carbon fiber on the body, with accent lines highlighted in gold. These accents are seen on the EB badging, the horseshoe grille, and parts of the engine cover, while the wheels have been tinted in a similar shade to match. Under the retractable rear wing, L'Ebe's signature logo is displayed, with this chirography repeated on the interior treadplates and seat headrests.

If you've become too accustomed to the bespoke nature of Bugatti's special editions, you may not have noticed that the door cards in the cabin are inversions of each other. On the driver's side, the card is finished predominantly in Silk leather with Lake Blue highlights while on the passenger's side, the color scheme is reversed. Both feature a motif of the "visual evolution of Bugatti's most iconic cars, from early Grand Prix racers through to EB110, Veyron, and Chiron." This special model is sure to become one of the most noteworthy in the Bugatti catalog, particularly since it was created as a send-off for the European Chiron production run. Bugatti says that the regular Chiron and one of the Chiron Sport L'Ebe models have been delivered, with the final Chiron Sport to be delivered by the end of the month.
